The other two bedrooms each offer a queen bed and a twin bed, and share a well-appointed bathroom with a shower.
Although Playa Hermosa (‘Beautiful Beach’) is a renowned surfing destination and was named Central America’s first World Surf Reserve in May 2022, you don’t need to be a surfer to enjoy its charm. I lived nearby for 18 years and loved strolling along this beach, especially at low tide—ideal for families with kids. While the beach is often serene, it comes alive with surfers during great wave conditions.
Our sunsets are legendary, whether viewed from Casa Barracuda’s second-floor deck or the beachfront restaurant Vida Hermosa, a 25-minute walk north. The surf break is one of the most consistent in Central America, attracting surfers for local competitions. Remarkably, the best surfing coincides with the Olive Ridley sea turtles’ nesting season from June to November.
